Pop meets Jazz & Flamenco

This is a rare chance to watch international band Paul Oxley’s Acoustic Circus play live in intimate surroundings. Apart from fresh material from their debut album Jungle, the guys will perform many established hits from Paul’s band, Paul Oxleys Unit, including, Spanish Bars, Terrys Inside, Living in the Western World etc, with a fresh take, plus some lesser known songs of Paul’s and a few choice covers. The band is very visual and put on a great show.

Very special guest Jannike will support the band along with maestro Niklas Rosström.

Is a passionate, dynamic, music concept started by Paul Oxley, the lead singer and songwriter of Paul Oxley’s Unit to provide an acoustic alternative to to the Pop/Rock style of the band. (Paul Oxley’s Unit recently split up and played a sell out final tour.)

The Acoustic Circus are: Paul Oxley on acoustic guitar, vocals. Rob Dominis, on keyboards, Raúl Mannola, virtuoso, flamenco guitarist from Spain, Luis Herrero, bass / accordion, Tuukka Aitoaho, percussion, plus other guests. The band also has a string quartet for certain gigs. The style is described as Pop meets Jazz and Flamenco but don’t be surprised to hear a few other genres in there as well.

Paul Oxley

Manchester born Paul Oxley is an English Singer/ Songwriter/Lyricist living in Helsinki, Finland. He is well known as the lead singer/ songwriter of Anglo/US/ Finnish band ’Paul Oxley’s Unit’ who’s first album ’Living in the Western World’ went platinum in Finland, spending a record 17 weeks at the number one spot and the band have had a stream of successful albums since then. Paul’s songs; ’Terry’s Inside’ and ’Spanish Bars’ are both included in the top 100 songs of all time in Finland.

Jannike

Jannike is a Finnish Singer- and Songwriter. She has released three solo albums, a duet with Eurovision legend Johnny Logan, done many concerts, TV-shows and a special program from legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. Recently she took part of the San remo Song Contest, made it to the Grand final and got a special reward from the jury. She is currently working on her new album.
